Sameer Afsar, Managing Partner

Sameer Afsar was part of a boutique CRM solution provider called Sakonent. He joined the organization as a project manager. Sakonent was CRM agnostic, but his focus was implementing Salesforce and helping businesses transform using the platform.

Aside from implementations, Sameer was responsible for oversight of delivery operations and eventually was VP of Delivery. This included oversight of about 120 onshore and offshore resource. Sakonent was extremely successful in their delivery methodology and was profiled by Gartner as part of the CRM services market: https://www.gartner.com/doc/2287017/competitive-landscape-salesforcecom-crm-services

Sameer switched to corporate as VP of Enterprise Applications for a manufacturing company. He was responsible for digital transformation and implementation of SAP S/4, Salesforce and Office365. Biggest issue was Salesforce support. Couldn’t find Salesforce resources to make minor customization.

  • Consulting companies wanted me to commit to a full time resource

  • Constantly switched out resources

  • Offshore was not efficient

  • Independent contractors were tough to get a hold of and never available

  • Manufacturing company wasn’t an “attractive destination” to hire a Salesforce resource
